Job Title Major Projects ManagerLocation GlasgowSalary from £58,000 (DOE), bonus up to 20%, family health cover and car allowanceFlexible Working PatternHelp us create a better future, quickerThe role of Major Project Manager is to plan, execute and deliver major property projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes the acquiring of resources and co- ordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver property projects according to the plan.The Scottish Power portfolio will undergo a rationalisation over the next few years which will include the closure of existing owned and leased properties and the construction and fit out of new properties to meet the needs of the business. Key responsibilities will be to define the project scope, goals and deliverables and direct and manage project development from beginning to end to ensure delivery on time, within budget and with safety at the forefront of everything we deliver.What you’ll be doingDirect and manage project development from beginning to end.Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.Build, lead and manage SP Project Team for Project Delivery including all internal Corporate FunctionsWhat you’ll bringProject Management Experience – preferably APC and or APM qualifiedIn depth knowledge of construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.Ensuring compliance with Health and safety policy including the CDM Regulations where relevantStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills.In depth knowledge of various change management processes and design authority processCommercial acumen to ensure an appropriate business case rationale when presenting strategic property projects to Directors/Senior Management.Highest level of influencing and communication skills to ensure business rationale and project risks are known and understood at the highest level of the organisationProven relationship management and team management skillsAbility to manage several concurrent projects at the one time ensuring the optimum level of support and resources at all times.Lead a large number of specialist resources and contractors in providing solutions to often-complex building projects.What’s in it for youAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
