We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Multi-Trade Electrician) to join our Estates Department at Birkbeck, University of London. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for our staff, students, and visitors.As a Maintenance Technician (Multi-Trade Electrician), you will:
- Develop familiarity with business-critical systems alongside Senior Electrical Maintenance Technicians
- Handle emergencies and breakdowns responsibly
- Ensure compliance with statutory and college-specific health, safety, and quality standards
- Act as the first point of contact for emergency repairs, including on-call duties
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of HVAC services.
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician (Multi-Trade Electrician) who has:
- Good working knowledge of health and safety laws
- Experience in estates electrical repair and maintenance
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Computer literacy, including spreadsheets and word processing.
