About the role
Our Hydrogen Peroxide manufacturing facility, composed of around 40 people, focuses on producing hydrogen (H2) and hydrogen peroxide (HP) in collaboration with the Maintenance, Purchasing, Logistics and Commercial teams.
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operations of the Hajor Hazard Facility. You will lead a team of five trades employees as well as managing day to day contractors who attend site. You will get the opportunity to contribute to maintaining and improving the operation of a complex Major Hazard Facility (MHF) site.
You will be accountable for:
the safe, efficient and reliable management of the site’s hydrogen and hydrogen peroxide plant, alongside the Production Manager, Project Manager and HSE Manager.
Maintaining and improving the maintenance systems (planning, scheduling, resource management)
Managing the maintenance personnel and contractors on site
Promoting and undertaking site audits on the Solvay Lifesaving rules
Continuous improvement and working to best practice

About you
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety or similar qualification. Trade qualification will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational maintenance role at a chemical or industrial site.
Competencies:
Relevant work experience in the chemical, manufacturing or comparable industry
Maintenance leadership in an industrial plant or Major Hazard Facility (MHF)
Behaviors:

Timely and effective decision making
Effective communication and leadership skills
Ability to prioritise and work on multiple tasks
About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Australian base pay reasonably expected for this role is 100,000 to 135,000 AUD, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
