Job description

An International Logistics Provider is seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Planner to join their team in Dover, working a 4 on 4 off night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. This role is crucial for managing and coordinating logistics globally, ensuring smooth and timely transport operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with International Carriers: Negotiate and agree on transport costs with international carriers to ensure cost-efficient logistics solutions.
• Revenue Management: Tender job revenues to clients while providing competitive and tailored pricing solutions.
• Client-Centric Service: Offer bespoke logistics services, tailored to the specific needs of each client, ensuring a personalized experience.
• Monitor Transport Progress: Continuously track and monitor the progression of shipments, ensuring all transport operations are running according to schedule.
• Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with global clients and logistics partners to foster long-term collaborations.
• System Management: Ensure the company’s transportation systems are accurately monitored and functioning efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Logistics Experience: Prior experience working in logistics is essential
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while ensuring time-sensitive deadlines are met.
• Excellent organizational skills are required to manage transport schedules and logistics operations efficiently.
• Capable of working under pressure and ensuring that all logistics solutions are delivered on time.
