Our client, an Electronics Manufacturing company in Cork is currently on the lookout for an experienced Logistics Manager within the electronics industry. This is a full-time, permanent role and the goal of the position is to drive excellence in their logistics processes. As Logistics Manager you will be dedicated to delivering exceptional logistics solutions that ensure the seamless movement of goods in a consistent, efficient, and safe manner.Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, transportation companies, and customers.
  • Develop and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes to enhance operational and financial performance.
  • Solve logistics challenges while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budget constraints.
  • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs to optimize efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Negotiate contracts for international transport services to establish long-term partnerships.
  • Implement new process flows and controls for key accounts, ensuring adherence to industry compliance and customer SLAs.
  • Collaborate across functional teams to ensure operational support and adapt working models as needed.
  • Partner with supply chain stakeholders to ensure compliant transportation of products.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, driving best practice results and continuous improvements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with electronics.
  • Knowledge of trade law, customs and compliance in this area is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and partners effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated to excel in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills to meet deadline requirements.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Expert knowledge of logistics technical regulations, including import/export and customs regulations, and aviation security requirements.
