As a Logistics and Asset Management Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This customer-facing role provides a professional asset management and logistics service, and support to the customer in maintaining and accounting for their extensive asset portfolio.Day-to-day, you’ll maintain records and update databases as required to maintain a full audit trail, ensuring that the customer is kept informed of all movements of assets in transit, arriving on site and at end destinations. Where applicable, to also arrange for internal or external collection of assets for the customer, as well as:

  • Conducting internal and external asset audits (within 30-mile radius), updating relevant databases and completing audit reports.
  • Contribute to the provision of statistical information for regular reporting requirements to the customer and Babcock.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and safety within the accommodation area to minimise health, safety and environmental risks, and where necessary, advise the Authority and Babcock through the correct channels, of potential risks and mitigation.
  • Support and contribute towards all continuous improvement activities.
  • Become familiar enough with associated services to be able to provide support in times of surge requirements and cover for absences as necessary.

This role is full time and based onsite at Ashchurch.Essential experience of the Logistics and Asset Management Operative

  • Possess general logistics skills with relevant demonstrable experience in a related environment.
  • Possess an adequate knowledge of, and compliance with, the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail when performing auditing duties.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stores team members, and all associated stakeholders.
  • A thorough working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, and the ability to manage Authority-provided IT systems deployed for service delivery.

Qualifications for the Logistics and Asset Management Operative

  • Minimum GCSE or Level 2 English and Maths.
