Two positions are available to start from 1st August 2024, depending on the circumstances of the successful candidates.Applicants must be Surgical trained to Speciality Registrar (StR4) level or above. This is an Exposure Prone post.The successful applicants will join a well-established team comprising another eight doctors at StR level 4 or above attached to the Upper GI unit which provides both elective and emergency surgical care for the Lothian population providing registrar level support to the service. The main commitment will be to provide cover to the emergency general surgery on-call rota, and secondly to participate in the elective day surgery and inpatient ward duties with a focus on benign Upper GI surgery, general surgery and abdominal wall/complex hernia work.
