About the RoleThe School of Business and Management (SBM) seeks to recruit an outstanding researcher and teacher to a Lectureship in Marketing & Communications (Teaching & Research). This post offers an opportunity to make a major contribution to the development of marketing research and teaching in a rapidly growing and distinctive business and management school.The role of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Communications (Teaching & Research) in the Department of Marketing includes both teaching and research objectives: (i) to make important research contributions to the field; (ii) to advance the research subject through publications; (iii) to deliver quality teaching including making innovations in key aspects of teaching and learning; (iv) to contribute to the administration of the Department/School; (v) to maximise opportunities for public engagement in the subject.About YouApplicants should be able to demonstrate the capacity to research and publish at an internationally excellent level. Applicants should have a completed doctorate or will have submitted their thesis and be awaiting examination. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the marketing teaching on our MSc and undergraduate programmes. We will consider applications from marketing, communications, and inter-related fields such as digital analytics.About the School/Department/Institute/ProjectThe School of Business and Management is one of the eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School has been undergoing a period of rapid growth, doubling our number of academic staff over the last five years. We presently have 121 academic staff and a large team of Teaching Fellows and TAs.The Department of Marketing at the School of Business and Management is research-led, and our academics publish in journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Service Research, Consumer Research, Consumer Psychology, Industrial Marketing Management, Product Innovation Management, International Marketing and interdisciplinary social science journals.
