Lead Java Engineer – Java, UI, Investment Banking – Permanent, London, Hybrid.Our client, a Teir1 investment bank, are looking to expand their London team in Credit Technology. They are seeking a talented Lead Java Engineer with both front-end and back-end experience to play a critical role in developing and enhancing their Credit Trading Platform. This is a global team, with engineers in various geolocations and as a lead position, you’ll be expected to run projects and provide technical leadership alongside hands-on technical expertise.Responsibilities

• Develop and manage key initiatives for the global Credit Flow pre-trade engineering team.
• Deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions to meet the needs of a dynamic trading environment.
• Balance front-end and back-end development tasks, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Lead the rollout of deliverables to support Credit Trading operations.
• Collaborate on the strategic development of our platform’s architecture and infrastructure.

Skills Required

• Core Skills: Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, and database technologies like Oracle/SQL.
• Front-End Expertise: Experience with TypeScript and React for building robust user interfaces.
• Knowledge of Agile/DevOps practices and tools like Jira, Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
• A proven ability to lead teams and contribute to high-stakes financial technology projects.
• Strong analytical, design, and communication skills.
