They are experiencing ongoing expansion & as such they are looking for a Lead Electronic Design Engineer to lead a team & work alongside industry experts.The role will involve leading a team designing and developing new and existing products. Working in the Research and Development department you will be working closely on products from conception right through to completion.The ideal candidate will have previously worked in Electronic Design in a team lead role and be looking to work for a world-renowned company in a varied & interesting role.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a state-of the art company that will provide you with platform to expand your skills and develop as an engineer, receiving recognition for your achievements and working on ground-breaking products.The role:

• Embedded & power electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout & simulation
• Diagnose and mitigate EMC/EMI problems
• Power supply design, PWM experience, High voltage design
• DFM, DFT (Design for manufacturability, Design for testability)
• Test & evaluation using a range of test equipment

The person: * Significant knowledge in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with experience in a team lead role

• Ideally a background in consumer products (power electronics, portable devices, power tools etc.)
• Commercial experience (negotiation techniques, supply chain management, volume manufacturing, customer relationship development)
• Ability to take technical lead and mentor engineers
