This role is pivotal in building and evolving our new Data Platform, including Data Lakes and Data Warehouses using cutting-edge tools and technology.The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale data and analytical solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and industry best practices.What you’ll be doing?Data Architecture and Modelling· Design and implement the analytical data modelling framework across data architecture· Design and implement robust data models to support various business requirements.· Develop scalable data architectures, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouses.· Ensure data architecture aligns with modern principles such as Data Mesh and supports efficient data flow. Data Pipeline Development and Maintenance· Lead the design, development, and maintenance of low-code enabled data pipelines. · Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes into various data stores.· Ensure data pipelines are optimized for performance and scalability. Data Governance and Quality· Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards. · Ensure data quality and integrity across all data assets.· Implement data normalization, aggregation, and validation processes. Cross-functional Collaboration· Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.· Drive data-driven initiatives and ensure data solutions meet business needs. Data Visualization and Communication· Develop data visualizations to communicate complex data insights effectively.· Translate data into actionable insights to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.· Communicate complex data solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Continuous Learning and Industry Advocacy· Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data engineering and analytics. · Advocate for modern data solutions and the importance of high-quality data within the organization.What you’ll need?· Extensive experience leading AWS and cloud data platform transformations.· Proven track record of delivering large-scale data and analytical solutions in a cloud environment.· Expertise in end-to-end data pipeline implementation using AWS services, including data preparation, ETL, warehousing, and governance.· In-depth understanding of modern data architectures, such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh.· Strong knowledge of data modelling practices and the ability to manage data pipelines cost- effectively.· Familiarity with CI/CD-driven data pipeline and infrastructure using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).· Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present data solutions to various audiences.· Experience managing and leading a small team of data engineers.· Proficiency in Python, SQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, AWS Cloud, and Tableau.· Self-driven with a passion for improving data processes and embracing new technologies.
