The Role

The Lead Analyst – Enterprise Data Quality role is critical in maintaining high data standards and enabling the delivery of our Data and Analytics strategy. The Lead Analyst will develop, implement, and manage data governance policies, procedures, and standards, in particular the data dictionaries to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across Customer, Supplier and Employee Domains and Transactional Business Data.

Responsibilities:

Includes but not limited to:

  • Observe, manage and correct master data inconsistencies within the two JDE instances across three regions. In this role you will use your data knowledge to build and run reports to monitor the integrity of the masters and provide reporting where standard reports cannot meet business needs.

  • Provide advanced thought processes of the flow of information and how it ties back to the divisional software applications.

  • Understand and answer complex questions related to data structures and governance while maintaining positive stakeholder experiences

  • Analyse, research, and resolve complex data matching issues of a broad scope using independent judgment

  • Gathering data – establish strong working relationships with internal and external customers, and colleagues in order to collect necessary information for the above tasks.

  • Ability to research and offer resolution to processing issues that demonstrate competence in system navigation and processes in order to assist in testing new processes

  • Collaborate with divisional functional teams, both locally and globally, to ensure project(s) success to meet short and long term goals and needs. As a subject matter expert you may act as an interdivisional resource for a project or assisting in the project completion.

  • Support stakeholder SLA’s and work to provide KPI’s. Ensure dashboards are up to date and are reflective of the work completed.

  • Executing on the data strategy aligned with organisational goals and objectives, including determining critical data elements and prioritising accordingly, driving data ownership, a process for escalation and prioritisation and setting & enforcing standards.

  • Implement a data quality methodology i.e. a method to assess data quality, with criticality in mind, implementing and driving strong data quality metrics.

  • Create and maintain tools to demonstrate that data quality is meeting requirements. Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports to monitor data quality, governance, and compliance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.

  • Overseeing data quality initiatives, including data profiling for criticality, cleansing, and enrichment, to maintain high-quality data across all systems and databases.

  • Embed data certification, and a robust issue resolution process, prioritising on business criticality.

  • Work with data stewards to ensure correction of data.

  • Ensure robust approval process for new Customer and Employee records, acting as a step in the approval process.

  • Monitoring Transportation Management Master Data set up and ensuring completeness.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration across various departments to understand their data needs and ensure data is leveraged effectively to support decision-making and business processes.

What you will bring:

  • Understanding of the medical equipment industry, hospital system and procedures

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams at all organisational levels.

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and change management skills.

  • Business process improvement capability and ability to contribute to and implement systematic change.

  • Strong analytical aptitude with proven ability to analyse/interpret data and provide insight to other departments.

  • Strong knowledge of data regulations and compliance requirements

What you need:

(Skills, experience, qualifications)

  • Tertiary qualifications are preferred with Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or Finance qualifications.

  • 4+ years of experience in data management, governance, or related roles, with a proven track record of successfully implementing data strategies and governance frameworks.

  • Proficiency in data management tools, data cataloging software, and data quality tools.

  • Project management experience is a plus.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
