Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent and technically skilled Facilities Technician for a temporary 3-month position to support the closing of our laboratory at Autodesk’s Kilsyth office. This role is crucial in ensuring that our laboratory environments are decommissioned to the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency during the closure process. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a range of injection molding machinery and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lab Clean-Up: Ensure all laboratory spaces are clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Equipment Operation: Safely decommission lab machinery and equipment

  • Waste Management: Properly handle and dispose of laboratory waste materials

  • Primarily based in laboratory environments

  • May involve handling hazardous materials, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols

  • Physical requirements include lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating machinery

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in an injection molding laboratory or industrial setting

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining various lab injection molding machinery and equipment

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks are performed to high standards

  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to laboratory environments

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and laboratory staff

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Certification: Certification in Laboratory Operations or Machinery Maintenance preferred
