From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.Job DescriptionThe purpose of the role is to drive the key account initiatives into the organisation with a view on growth, profitability and efficiency improvements, setting a clear strategy and identifying the critical priorities within the customer base in order to identify profitable routes to market.This is a home based role therefore we welcome applications from across the UK.Regular travel across the UK to our Eurofins sites will be required.We are looking for someone to raise the bar in the commercial function in line with the organisation’s growth strategy to ensure a significant step-change in performance, working alongside the Account Management Team and members of the leadership team to drive a significant growth agenda.Duties include:

  • Work with some of our largest & key accounts to ensure a high level of service & client retention.
  • To own all commercial sales from your key accounts, achieve sustainable growth, profitability and to maximise the client base full potential.
  • To be responsible for key account management, sales execution, and commercial activities/management within specific UK accounts
  • To drive high impact leadership and direction to the customers within your portfolio, creating empowerment and facilitating customer growth.
  • To develop and deliver the business strategy with the objective growing & retaining your specific customer base year on year
  • To initiate new ways of working, to develop long term alliances and implement creative ‘added value’ solutions which deliver significant sales growth and margin attainment.
  • To recognise and understand new market opportunities and know what is required in bringing differentiated products and services to meet ever-changing customer demands.
  • To understand the value drivers of the business and identify profitable and commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share through new products and the extension of services to current and new clients and emerging markets.
  • To hold experience of benchmarking and the ability to plan and determine how to beat the competition
  • To hold the ability to astutely communicate to all stakeholders of the business whilst utilising the experience of the other teams to maximise the service for our clients
  • Be able to clearly articulate and discuss commercial frameworks with our clients, including negotiation, understanding the numbers involved & presenting these to the business.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the water testing industry and its requirements.
  • Proven experience in working to and exceeding targets.
  • General understanding of relevant quality and technical standards (e.g., UKAS/ISO 17025).
  • To have excellent excel, word and power point skills to help to assisting with presentations to clients and Eurofins stakeholder.
  • To have the ability to think and behave strategically when liaising with all areas of the Eurofins business & clients.
  • To hold high level analytical and data-rational skills.
  • Practical, commercial and creative in approach, to be a tenacious forward-thinking individual.
  • interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Committed to customer care.
  • Adaptable and able to sell into a diverse customer base.
  • Be able to work autonomously.
  • Current and valid driving license.
