The Role: Junior Software Engineer – Front-end

Rue Gilt Groupe is looking for a Junior Software Engineer (Front-end) to join our expanding Merch tools Engineering Team in Dublin, IRE. This person is someone who is inspired to build scalable and sophisticated systems that synthesize data from thousands of brands and millions of consumers, to deliver an engaging real-time experience to users on the go. The Merch Tools Engineering Team at Rue Gilt Groupe owns our Store Manager back office application and will work on an innovation project around pricing core functionalities. You enjoy an agile, fast-paced environment that has a start-up feel but is part of something much larger, impactful, collaborative, and exciting.

We’re currently modernizing our technical stack and need motivated contributors to drive our technology forward. On the frontend you’ll be able to contribute to modern React and Typescript single page applications, running on AWS cloud native architectures that handle problems at scale among 35+ million users.

What You’ll Do:

• Contribute to future development and architecture for our internal tools team.
• Participate in developing an inspiring technology vision and deliver on that vision through incremental value releases.
• Deliver fast user experience for our desktop stakeholders, utilizing React, and other technologies.
• You will work closely with other senior software engineers and product managers to deliver rapid value.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Participate in UI development of multiple complex UI components across individual workflow applications.
• Interact with stakeholders across multiple business and technology teams.

• Bachelor’s Degree desired, but not required
• 1-3 years of experience in web technologies
• Experience in Web technologies like React, Typescript, or Node.JS. Anything else is a bonus!
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms, AWS preferred

Expected Base Salary Range: €40,000 – €50,000
