- Conduct applied research on scale-ups. This includes desk research, data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Plan, coordinate and support the activities of our
. * Scout both local and international research funding opportunities and draft proposals to secure long-term funding targeted towards educational and research initiatives centred around scale-ups.
- Develop new business opportunities focused on scale-ups.
- Disseminate knowledge by writing (academic) papers, reports, articles and social media posts.
- Provide support for the activities of the research area.
You
- Obtained a master’s degree in economics, (business) engineering or another with a strong quantitative backbone.
- Have a strong interest in conducting research using a scientific approach; some research experience (e.g., working with financial statements and large-scale datasets, econometric analyses) is considered a plus.
- Like networking and have a knack for spotting and developing new opportunities.
- Are passionate about entrepreneurship and scale-ups.
- Get energised by organising and planning (research) events and programmes.
- Can work autonomously in a dynamic and flexible environment.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Have a proactive attitude, and don’t shy away from presenting your findings to an academic and business audience.
- Will be located on our campus in Brussels or Leuven in combination with your home office.
