YOUR ROLE:

Under the leadership of the Sophia Programme Manager, as a project manager for our chatbot Sophia, you will join our international and passionate team to increase our impact and:

  • Strategic Launches: Coordinate the launch of Sophia in Ukraine and its six bordering countries within the year, managing all aspects from logistics to stakeholder communications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively improve Sophia by engaging with users, partners, and experts to gather actionable insights that drive continuous improvement.
  • Fundraising and Grant Writing: Secure funding through targeted grant writing and fundraising initiatives to support project sustainability and expansion.
  • Global Expansion: Manage and coordinate the further expansion of Sophia to new countries, ensuring strategic alignment with broader organisational goals.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Draft detailed reports on project milestones and outcomes, maintaining transparency and accountability to stakeholders.
  • Impact Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the ongoing impact of Sophia, utilising data to inform strategic decisions and report on effectiveness.
  • Advocacy Support: Assist in developing and executing advocacy campaigns that promote the project and its goals to a broader audience.
  • Be at the forefront of AI and Data Regulation: Ensure compliance with international data protection regulations and ethical standards in AI deployment.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Experienced in Project Management: Demonstrated track record in leading project development in social impact sectors, preferably in tech-focused non-profits.
  • Expertise in Gender-Based Violence: Previous experience or deep understanding of gender equality, gender-based violence, and/or domestic violence, enriching your capacity to manage and expand the Sophia project effectively.
  • Strategic and Global Expansion Skills: Proven ability to handle the logistics, stakeholder communication, and strategic challenges of launching and expanding projects globally.
  • Fundraising and Grant Writing Proficiency: Skilled in identifying funding opportunities and writing compelling grant proposals to ensure the sustainability and growth of impact projects.
  • Impact Analysis and Reporting: Competent in crafting detailed reports and performing impact monitoring and evaluation, using data to steer project decisions and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Advocacy and Campaign Leadership: Experience in advocacy campaigns.
  • Agile and Adaptive: Thrives in dynamic environments, adept at using agile methodologies to navigate changes and challenges in project management.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse, international teams.
  • Commitment to Social Justice: Passionately driven by a desire to use technology for social change, with a focus on combating gender-based violence.
  • Continuous Learner: Engaged in ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of the latest trends in technology, AI, and human rights to bring innovative solutions to the role.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of German is an advantage.

CONTRACT AND SALARY

This is a remote position (outside of Europe/US) and the percentage (50% – 100%) can be adapted according to the needs of the successful candidate. We are offering a freelance contract. Compensation is offered in accordance to the successful candidate’s qualifications and national salary standards of where they are based, as we are recruiting outside of Switzerland.
