Job description
Java Software Engineer – London. – Java Core – J2EE – API – FinTech – Data. Miller Maxwell has been tasked with assisting this highly innovative technology organisation with the growth of their expanding R&D team on a global basis. The business is in the process of growth with the backing of a number of blue-chip investment banking institutions. This is the opportunity to work on disruptive technology projects developing real-time scalable products.The Java Software Engineer will have at least three years of commercial experience in development and a keen interest in innovative automated technology within the financial services sector. You will need to be strong with Core Java and have experience building scalable systems.The Java Software Engineer will be:
- Developing and enhancing the current platform
- Work on green-field development projects through the full project life cycle
- Work with senior stakeholders on product architecture
- Contributing to the agile development process including code reviews, daily scrum meetings, and improving development across the business.
- Participating in requirements gathering and analysis
- Work within a highly experienced team assemble from tier-1 companies on a global basis.
The Java Software Engineer will need to have:
- Proven Java programming experience.
- Java Core and J2EE experience.
- Web / Application server experience – Apache – Tomcat – JBoss
- JSON – API – XML experience.
- Experience developing highly transactional systems in a live environment.
- Knowledge of Blockchain, BTC or Capital Markets is a big bonus
- 2:1 or 1st BSc/BS from a good University – Desirable.
