Java Software Engineer
Dublin
6 Month Contract
€500 – €550 per dayRealtime Recruitment has partnered with an exciting technology services firm that is backed by a global Fortune 500 company.As a result of continued success with their client in Dublin, we are now looking to hire multiple Java Software Engineers on a rolling 6-month daily rate contract.Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Continuously improve codebase, architecture, and processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our software remains cutting-edge.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as a Java Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystems.
• Experience with web frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or similar.
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM technologies (e.g., Hibernate).
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
