Remote Desktop Technician

As a Remote IT Desktop Support Technician, you will be a key member of our IT Department, providing high-level support to internal employees, contractors, consultants, and vendors working remotely across various environments, including offices, sales showrooms, and manufacturing plants. This senior-level role is designed for experienced IT professionals who can demonstrate exceptional technical skills and leadership capabilities. We are seeking a dynamic individual to remotely support our offices and plant with the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Inventory Control: Manage and maintain accurate records of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Software Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting of software including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Security software
  • Hardware Repair: Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of laptops and other hardware components.
  • Mobile Device Management: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of iPads, iPhones, and other mobile devices.
  • Remote Support: Provide comprehensive remote support and occasional on-site desktop support as needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Service Management: Proficient in managing help/service desk operations.
  • Technical Support: Advanced in Remote desktop support, including advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Mobile Devices: experience with mobile device configuration, deployment, and support.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in various software applications and operating systems, such as Salesforce, VPN solutions, ERP tools.
  • Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft and Apple operating systems.
  • Ticketing Systems: Proficient in using help desk or incident management ticketing software.
  • Productivity Tools: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an enterprise IT deskside/desktop support role.
  • Certifications: Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), ITIL Foundation, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), or HDI Desktop Support Technician.
