IT Solutions Analyst – South DublinHireForce is delighted to be working with a FTSE 100 global leader, which employs thousands of people across the globe. Our client is looking for an IT Solutions Analyst to join the central IT team to support the Group’s continued development and rollout of IT initiatives.Overview of the Role:The primary purpose of the role is to support the design, development, deployment and long-term support of central IT initiatives that are led from the centre and deployed to multiple business units across the Group. The role is a combination of business and systems analysis and involves the understanding of business needs and collaborating with technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology-based business solutions.Responsibilities of the Role:The role will relate to IT solution initiatives that are either in place, or new ones that will be considered, across the functional areas within the Group.Business Requirements and Technical Scope:

  • Identifying Business Requirements: Engage key stakeholders to identify and collate business requirements.
  • Translating Requirements: Translate business requirements into a technical scope that enables solution options to be defined.

Solution Selection and Design:

  • Solution Selection Process: Assist in managing the selection process to identify potential solution options and define the selection criteria for decision-making.
  • End-to-End Solution Design: Consider the end-to-end solution design, define data flows and integration points where multiple systems are required.

Project Support and Management:

  • Project Support: Provide Group IT team support to projects, including issue tracking, action management, progress reporting, budget tracking, and planning.

IT Service Management:

  • Service Partner Due Diligence: Coordinate and conduct IT due diligence assessments on third-party vendors, including evaluating their IT controls and overall IT risk management practices.
  • Service Partner Liaison: Coordinate with service partners to define and monitor service levels with regular service reviews.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work with local stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of delivered services, the support model, and necessary standards supporting the development of training material to adequately train service users.

Administrative and Compliance Support:

  • Administration: Support administrative aspects of IT service delivery, including invoicing and cross-charging.
  • Key Applications Administration: Ongoing development and administration of key applications like D365 and Okta.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and assist in compliance with IT Standards (Cobit, ISO, NIST, etc.)

Skills:

  • Candidates should have the following skills and abilities:
  • Knowledge of IT systems, software, hardware, and network infrastructure
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Familiarity with IT security standards, policies, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in administrating D365 and Okta is an advantage (however not required)

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is required for this position.
  • Should have at least 3 years of work experience in an IT support environment.
