We currently have a vacancy for a IT Policy Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on siteYour tasks

• Legal and political analysis (and advice) on interoperability and digital policy in general;
• Review and validation of deliverables under the policy and monitoring contract tasks;
• Support the implementation of the Interoperable Europe Act;
• Support the implementation of the Interoperable Europe Act proposal including work with Member States, Chief Information Officer (CIO) network, as well as the Interoperability Expert Group;
• Contribution to the labelled solutions, in the context of the Act;
• Contribution to the interoperability assessments, in the context of the Act;
• Contribution to inter-service discussions on the digital/interoperability aspects of an upcoming policy proposal;
• Regular reporting to the project officer.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Minimum 2 years’ of specific expertise in working on smart cities and smart communities;
• Experience conducting stakeholder consultations;
• Experience working with multiple services on interoperability initiatives;
• Experience of leading projects and of Project Management methodologies (e.g. PM²);
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Tools;
• Experience in digital policy analysis and reporting;
• Excellent knowledge of designing monitoring mechanisms (including the definition of composite indicators and scoreboards);
• Excellent knowledge of monitoring and KPI definition;
• Excellent command of the English language, French would be an asset.
