The IT Connectivity & Remote Solutions Specialist is part of the Roche Diagnostics Belgium (RDB) organization, putting the company on the right path in the field of ensuring efficient and qualitative service support to our customers. In this role you will be part of a self-steering agile team and report to the Customer Support Director. 

Step into a position where your interactions directly impact our customers. In this crucial role, you deliver qualitative IT and connectivity solutions, troubleshooting and remote accessibility of all portfolios of instruments belonging to Core lab, Molecular and Pathology installed in the Belgian market. 

Your impact

As the IT Connectivity & Remote Solutions Specialist your role is mainly related to the preparation and setup of the connectivity structure that will allow remote connectivity, server configuration and protection against cyber attacks. Your responsibilities will include amongst others:

• You will be able to answer high level incoming questions from customers and to understand the complexity of the project from an IT networking and connectivity aspect.
• You will work closely with Project Managers, Sales colleagues, and our valued customers to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of our IT solutions:
• You prepare and install our various hardware components for installation
• You test and troubleshoot returned IT hardware
• You collaborate on IT configuration with our colleagues Field Service Engineers and Field Application Specialists
• You document IT configurations and network schematics
• You provide expert advice on remote solutions and ensure product durability during customer visits

Who You Are:

• You have a degree in computer sciences engineering or IT, or equivalent through experience
• You demonstrate strong customer engagement skills, particularly within the healthcare environment, understanding the crucial role of patients
• You are proficient in multitasking with a focus on IT networking, Windows servers, SQL, scripting, database management, and code writing.
• You act as a key advisor, ensuring transparency in current IT actions and solutions, supporting decisions with integrity and clarity.
• You are entrepreneurial, problem-solving oriented as you display curiosity, with a background in IT, and a keen interest in problem-solving, cybersecurity, and challenging conventional IT infrastructure norms.
• You possess robust communication and negotiation skills to facilitate effective collaboration with a transparent approach towards successful and failing situations
• You take accountability, are self-driven, and aim for high standards. Driven by lean and continuous process improvement, with a focus on quality and GDP in work practices. Escalates risks promptly to prevent complaints or customer dissatisfaction.
• Languages: French, Dutch (fluent or mother tongue), and English (fluent)
• Computer Literacy: Windows Server, Linux, DBMS (e.g. SQL), MS Office, IT Networking Technology (i.a. knowledge of Routing, Switching, Firewalls, WiFi, OSI model, …), Cybersecurity, Scripting (Powershell, Python, VBScript, …), Healthcare standards (ASTM, HL7, DICOM, PACS, …), Mirth
