Communicare Healthcare is seeking to recruit an IT and Facilities Manager.We are seeking a high energy individual that works well in a team environment with extensive IT and facilities management experience. This role will report directly to the General Manager as a key member of the management team. We are looking for a candidate that mirrors this ethos and who can bring with them the necessary skills set and experience to develop and support activities across the organisation.Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:The IT and Facilities Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the IT goals of the company and supporting facility management across all service divisions nationally.As such, the IT and Facilities Manager will provide:

  • Comprehensive facilities management across all divisional operations
  • Support divisional managers to ensure facility compliance with HSE and HIQA requirements
  • Manage and co-ordinate all 3rd party supplier relationships and monitor performance against agreed service levels
  • Maintain up do date property management documentation i.e., ensure contracts in place and vehicle compliance documentation is managed correctly

IT

  • Management of IT vendors and services
  • Maintenance of the IT network through third-party vendors
  • Implementing, communicating, and maintaining operational and IT policies and procedures
  • Manage all aspects of IT, including office connectivity, phone system, CCTV, security and alarm systems
  • Management of the outsourcing registers and policies
  • Ensure up to date software and hardware inventories are maintained
  • Review and update IT policies and procedures
  • Management of service Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, including testing of same
  • Supervise and project manage IT maintenance, including change management and all IT projects
  • Ensure appropriate system backup and restore procedures are in place and tested periodically
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Identify problem areas and implement solutions
  • Ensure that hardware and software issues are dealt with in a timely manner to minimise operational disruption and inconvenience to clients
  • Provide support to the Management team on all issues relating to IT
  • Be the point of contact for all staff when IT issues are being experienced
  • Manage and implement IT training for employees and management
  • Co-ordinate all network security activities including penetration tests
  • Identify risks on the Network / Systems and work to manage same
  • Liaise with management in the development and/or implementation of new technology or services
  • Engage with External Audit and IT Advisors as required

The successful candidate ideally should have at least 3 years-experience in an IT and Facilities management position.
