Overview
Oversee, monitor, and perform inventory and material flow activities from service warehouse locations to customer sites. Ensure optimal supply of inventory and maintenance of accurate inventory control records and system. Audit inventory and logistic processes, and coordinate efforts to resolve issues.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plan and maintain the optimal supply of product and parts inventory based on account contracts, service level agreements (SLA’s), and product variants, Coordinate with the Parts Specialist to determine compatibility of common parts across product lines. - Collaborate with personnel from the product divisions to assess and maintain inventories. Maintain collaborative relationships with third party depot teams to deploy and distribute parts as needed to customer sites and designated field technicians.
- Conduct inventory audits, including audits at our vendor depot sites and of customer-owned equipment. Coordinate weekly inventory reviews with appropriate personnel to determine and report monthly inventory accuracy for all warehouses.
- Oversee physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies and/or reason for discrepancies. Determine the impact of shortages and identify appropriate solutions or alternatives to ensure schedules are met.
- Perform and maintain cycle counting in system.
- Prepare shipping and picking documents. Oversee and maintain receiving and stocking transactions in the business system.
- Support process and cost improvement initiatives related to warehousing and logistics and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assess inventory allocation needs, perform safety stock level reviews in business system, work with division procurement teams on parts purchasing, and monitor inventory costs across internal warehouses and with external depot partnerships.
- Draft and update operational procedures related to inventory control and service/logistics planning activities.
- Regularly communicate with other department members regarding incoming parts/materials, parts changes/shortages, delivery schedules, etc.
- Obtain quotations and arrange shipments with domestic and international shippers and carriers. Provide commercial invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations. Process freight claims for domestic and international carriers.
- Review and analyze invoices and shipping documents for compliance and irregularities, review and approve invoices for proper payment, and resolve invoice and document discrepancies.
- Resolve transportation and shipment issues. Communicate and collaborate on issue resolution with key stakeholders.
- Further the goals and positive professional image of the Division through effective interaction with customers, vendors and internal departments.
- QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a business or operations related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control and MRP/ERP systems, or equivalent education and experience. - Advanced knowledge of inventory systems and techniques.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
- Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office products, Visio, CRM and ERP business systems
