Internship: Analysis and Fundraising

As an Intern, your responsibilities will encompass coordinating with your supervisor to follow the weekly tasks assigned to you; working on fundraising for the analysis team of DFS; learning about the analysis itself, and supporting the analysis team when needed. Collaboration with the DFS team is essential to addressing proposal submission challenges, establishing a list of humanitarian donors (governmental, foundation, etc.) with their requirements, contacting potential donors, writing concept notes, and answering calls for proposals. Additionally, with the analysis team, you will be trained on analysis methodologies and you may contribute to situational analysis reports under the supervision of senior staff, offering support as needed to achieve team objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Fundraising:

● Following a training (Kaya) on fundraising in the humanitarian sector.

● Conducting extensive research on potential humanitarian donors and their requirements for funding.

● Weekly updates on openings for proposals and consultancy openings on SDR.

● Contacting foundations and enterprises.

● Led the creation, writing, and design of proposals and concept notes collaboratively with the analysis team and the communication team under the management of your supervisor.

● Following the entire process of fundraising with donors.

● Active participation in weekly calls with your supervisor and effective implementation of feedback.

● Collaborating within the communication channel to address challenges when doing concept notes and proposals for the analysis team.

Analysis:

● Following training on TheDeep, SDR, and analysis methodologies.

● Potential contribution to situational analysis reports, under the supervision of the Senior Analyst or Team Leader.

● Providing additional support as required.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

● Experience in the humanitarian field.

● Willingness to learn about fundraising.

● Experience in the treatment, processing, and analysis of qualitative data.

Remuneration: USD 500 dollars per month for a full-time internship

Duration: 3 months

Additional Information:

This is a remote position that can be completed from anywhere in the world.
