This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services Department (ISD) Operations International Disaster Response (OPS-IDR) unit.
The Information Management Coordinator is responsible for leading the Information Management in support to National Society (NS) and Movement partners. For large scale emergencies, the Information Management Coordinator leads the coordination and streamlining of Information Management within the operation.

Key Responsibilities
The coordinator will be responsible for:
- Ensuring relevant, timely and accurate Information Management products, processes, systems and tools are used in a coordinated manner for operational decision making. Examples of products are: 3Ws, maps and infographics of activity information, data collection forms for activity data and damage assessment, consolidating multiple data types for analysis and visualizing in strategic dashboards, etc.,
- Act as reference point to engage and communicate with the remote Surge Information Management Support (SIMS) network.
- Coordinate with all NS partners and external stakeholders, to avoid duplication and ensure synergies.
- Support the National Society with regards to Information Management capacity strengthening Identify what additional resources would be needed for supporting the IM efforts within the Operation

Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of 3 year’s field experience in the international development/aid field, or at least three national or international-level disaster response deployments.
- Significant technical experience in at least two of the following:
- GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) Web visualization (Klipfolio, Power Bi, or other tools).
- Graphic design (Adobe illustrator or other graphics software) Data Analysis (excel, R, SPSS, etc) Data storage and management Mobile data collection and survey design (ODK, Kobo Toolbox, Survey 123).
- University degree or technical qualification in relevant areas such as Information Management, Disaster Management, IT/Computer Science, Finance, GIS/Geography, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in managing, training, mentoring and supporting staff or volunteers.
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Motivation and strong commitment to the Red Cross Red Crescents Fundamental Principles.
- Current and valid passport

- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.
Preferred:
- Proficient in writing, editing, and speaking (including business terminology) in another foreign language (especially Spanish, French or Arabic)
- Experience in undertaking and managing humanitarian information and data in operations
- Experience with handling confidential data
- Experience/skills piloting uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV)/drone for professional or emergency response purposes.
Time Commitment
- IDR Roster Members must be able to commit to deploy at a minimum eight (8) consecutive weeks out of the calendar year.
- In addition to deployment availability, must be available to attend Learning and Development activities either in person or virtual, especially during initial months of becoming an IDR Roster member.
- Engagement opportunities for candidates (ex. training/skills development) will vary by individual.
