ABOUT THE JOB
As an Information Management Officer within the Humanitarian Consulting Team, you will be involved in developing and implementing comprehensive data management solutions tailored to the needs of our partners. Your role will require you to engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements, facilitate working groups, and develop concrete data models that align with organizational standards and support humanitarian operations. The ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly to new challenges is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the humanitarian consulting team to implement Information Management (IM) strategies, focusing on the integration of data into existing systems.
- Conduct thorough assessments and analyses of existing IM systems, tools, and data sets to understand and translate client needs into actionable data solutions.
- Lead the design and implementation of data collection and visualization solutions using tools such as KoboToolbox, PowerBi, and other relevant technologies.
- Facilitate the development and management of datasets, ensuring they are optimized for the client’s needs.
- Organize and lead working groups to define data objects, gather user stories, and ensure that outputs meet organizational standards.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across different organizational units to ensure the successful integration of data models into enterprise systems.
- Provide training and support to partners to ensure effective use and ownership of IM systems and tools.
- Generate reliable and timely information, including maps, graphics, and infographics, to support planning and impact analysis.
- Ensure accurate documentation of data processes and contribute to turning data trends into engaging content for targeted audiences.
- Contribute to the enhancement and implementation of data collection and analysis tools developed by Relief Applications, including OORT (https://www.oortcloud.tech/).
- Support the project lead with additional tasks as required.
PROFILE REQUESTED
Education
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Science, GIS, Disaster Management or any other equivalent field.
Skills
- English required – French highly recommended
- Strong computer literacy skills with advanced skills in MS Excel and statistical analysis.
- Strong knowledge of mobile data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, XLS Form)
- Strong knowledge of data visualisation (PowerBi, Tableau, GIS tools)
- Skills in database management, web-based technology
- Understanding of Humanitarian MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning) needs and constraints
- Capacity to develop a training package or user guideline dedicated to IM system as a whole or focusing on IT tools or steps – adapted to a various of audience type
- Ability to implement complex and participatory projects.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision with drive and initiative.
- Knowledge of CMS, Drupal, WordPress, Strapi is an asset.
Experience
- At least 2 year of working experience in the humanitarian sector
- Working experience with IM in a multicultural environment
- Experience with handling confidential data is a plus
Salary range
27k to 31k for French contracts
