This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary

This position is a strategy setter, collaborator, project manager, and negotiator who applies strong knowledge of tactics and market to Indirect spend categories for the company. This position will have accountability for spend categories, as assigned, such as Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Finance, Information Technology, MRO, Facilities, and/or Legal. This position will also play a key role in rolling out key project initiatives for the Indirect Procurement organization. The ideal candidate must understand and have experience in project management such that services are effectively provided in support of the assigned categories. The right individual will also be knowledgeable in different procurement methods, as well as understand and negotiate the required agreements for purchasing those items.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively implement global category strategies 
  • Works independently, requiring guidance on only the most complex situations
  • Leads others to solve complex problems in Indirect Supply Management using analytical thought, exercising judgement, and identifying innovative solutions
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to effectively influence as appropriate
  • Leads the development and execution of category plans and sourcing strategies that include industry trends, spend analytics, project pipeline, cost savings and resource planning activities
  • Negotiate complex agreements and statements of work.
  • Develop and execute cost savings strategies to support company goals and departmental commitments.
  • Prepares bid packages, conducts bidder conferences, creates statements of work, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates terms and conditions, selects or recommends suppliers, and administers resulting contracts.
  • Lead and/or project manages functional teams and continuous improvement projects within the procurement organization
  • Works with various functions within the company including other business units to coordinate requirements, facilitate category strategies, risk mitigation strategies and leverage spend.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Education Specifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. 

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chian, preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Experience in negotiating agreements and contracts with strong comprehension of legal and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing category strategies.
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain requirements, systems, supplier development, indirect procurement categories, and process improvement.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or Purchasing Management.
  • Nationally recognized professional certification (Certified Purchasing Manager or Certified Professional Contract Manager).
  • Experience with S2P & ERP technologies such as SAP Ariba

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.

Pay Range: $92,000-142,600.
