This partnership allows our customers to benefit from the experience of our staff while enabling our employees to gain direct experience by working onsite at pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical companies.
In this role, you will support the CAR-T program at the client’s facilities in Mechelen.What you will be doing:
As a technician In Vitro CAR-T you work closely with the client CAR-T team to ensure optimal implementation of the assays for routine testing using stand-alone equipment. You run toxicity assays on primary cells to support CAR-T lead candidate selection and maintain and culture multiple primary cell lines (adherent and suspension). After analysing your data you report your data to the client project leader according to DDI guidelines.Further tasks are:
- Produce and characterize lentiviruses;
- Document your lab work in an electronic lab note system and in Powerpoint;
- Plan your experiments independently according to agreed timelines and demonstrate ownership of
own tasks to meet required deliverables;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client project team and the insourced Charles River team;
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and adopt process changes to improve efficiency;
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related field; ideally 1
year of experience in an industry setting or equivalent;
- Knowledge of biochemical/cellular assays and cell culture techniques is a must (cell lines and primary cells);
- Excellent team player with objective-driven mindset;
- Good organizational, administrative and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- Commitment to successfully deliver to tight deadlines is essential;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English.
