  • Chartered Member of Institute of Personnel and Development
  • First Degree or equivalent

Knowledge

  • A detailed practical knowledge of Employment Law and Good Employment Practices
  • Computer literate
  • Further Education or Local Government
  • Unionised environments
  • A good understanding of Equality and Diversity Legislation
  • A good understanding of, and demonstrable commitment to, Safeguarding children and Young People (Every Child Matters) and Vulnerable Adults.

Experience

  • Service industry experience
  • Education or local government experience

*Implementation of HR plans

  • Professional involvement in at least one of : reward management, salary administration, performance management, employee relations HR administration

*Managerial/administrative involvement in change programmes and reorganisations
*Experience of advising in respect of disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings
*Experience of dealing with Employment Tribunals
*Experience of managing Payroll departmentsSkills
