To provide leadership to the HR Operations team in the delivery of a customer focused, effective and efficient service to the business.This key role is designed to work with managers and Senior HR Business Partners to ensure everyone receives a professional, timely and responsive service across the employee life cycle.Leadership

  • As part of the HR Management Team, take accountability for contributing to the development of the HR strategy and providing leadership for company projects
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior HR Business Partners to support the development of the HR team.
  • Provide the vision and direction for the HR Operations Team ensuring the development of a high performing team.
  • Represent SGB on Safran Global / UK projects and working groups as appropriate.

Recruitment

  • Working closely with the out-sourced Talent Acquisition team Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to meet the business hiring needs, including sourcing, screening, interviewing
  • Responsible for becoming the Authorising Officer on our UK Sponsor License, to ensure the License and all applications, visa expiry dates, visa renewals etc. are actioned appropriately and timely

Management of the Employee Life Cycle

  • Provision of a responsive HR operations service that supports the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to off boarding
  • Provide advice on salary & benefits, and terms & conditions, ensuring that principles of reward strategy are consistently applied throughout the business.
  • Oversees the HR operations team as custodians of employee data, and in servicing inbox queries.
  • Working closely with the Learning and Development team to ensure all new starters receive a positive and engaging induction programme
  • Manage processes to include Occupational health and exit interviews

Employee Relations

  • Empower the HR Advisors, to provide timely, accurate and pragmatic specialist ER advice to managers across all areas of the business, on the full range of routine and complex HR issues. This includes all aspects of disciplinary, capability, grievance, flexible working and absence procedures.
  • Manage constructive working relationships with Employee Consultative Committee (ECC) ensuring that effective consultation takes place and site wide/cross-functional issues are resolved at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure equitable application of HR policies and procedures across the site through the HR Advisors, HR Business Partners (HRBP’s) and management teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Company policies and procedures remain legally compliant and ensure effective communication of changes to ER policies and procedures; providing or supporting development where appropriate

Risk Management & Governance

  • Member of the risk management committee, ensuring all risks are documented, monitored and managed, escalating key risks to the VP Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Support the creation, testing and revision of the Business Continuity Plan for the organisation.
  • Lead for internal and external audits
  • HR lead for GDPR and a member of the GDPR Committee

  • CIPD Level 7
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience of effective leadership of HRteams
