Location ​

This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises of 295 guest rooms, suites and villas. ​

Department ​

Working within our friendly and professional Housekeeping Department, this position reports to the Executive Housekeeper.

​

​ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Deliver morning papers.

· Deliver and collect linen between laundry and service areas.

· Complete assigned jobs, working systematically, from the lower floors to the higher floors.

· Advise the Supervisor of store requirements for the service areas and housekeeping cage.

· Ensure the entire service is kept clean and tidy at all times.

· Stack and clean service areas and room attendants trolleys, maintaining the par level of guest amenities and linen requirements for guest rooms.

· Collect rubbish and linen from hub areas, corridors and service areas.

· Move furniture and equipment when requested.

· Carry out cyclic cleaning in guest rooms when required.

· Respond immediately to requests to deliver guest requirements.

· Ensure that both housekeeping cages are kept clean and tidy, ensuring all equipment is covered eg. rollaways, cots, highchairs and prams.

· De-mould bathrooms and bedrooms as required.

· Ensure that a correct handover takes place with the following shift.

· Prepare Cots and Rollaways for Rooms, being aware of the Standard and procedures for Stated Items.

The successful applicant will have ​

• Experience in similar role within an International standard 4 or 5 star Hotel (desirable)​
