Job Title: Hotel Porter (Day Time Hours)Job Description:We are currently recruiting for a Hotel Porter to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality and a positive, customer-focused attitude. As a Hotel Porter, you will play a key role in providing outstanding service to our guests.Requirements for Hotel Porter Role:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry (preferred, but not essential)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to carry and move luggage and other items with ease
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
- A positive, friendly, and approachable attitude
- Ability to handle guest complaints or special requests with patience and professionalism
- Full Clean Driving Licence
Responsibilities for Hotel Porter Role:
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival, helping with their luggage and offering a warm welcome
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain the hotel’s amenities and services
- Ensure that the lobby and public areas are clean, organised, and welcoming
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures, including storing and retrieving luggage
- Handle deliveries, packages, and special requests for guests promptly and courteously
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by ensuring that all areas are free from hazards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Assist with maintaining the hotel’s transportation services, such as shuttle buses
- Provide information on local attractions, directions, and restaurant recommendations when requested
- Assist with event set-ups or conference room arrangements as needed
