Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experienceWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospital Manager for an exciting opportunity in York. This role offers a chance to lead a multidisciplinary team in providing exceptional care and treatment within a brand new, state-of-the-art facility.Our facility boasts modern accommodations for up to 40 individuals, along with specialised rehabilitation flats. With its convenient location just 10 minutes from the city center, our center facilitates community integration and access to various opportunities for those we support.We are dedicated to empowering individuals with acquired brain injuries to live independently. Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive environment where personal and professional growth are encouraged.The Role:As Hospital Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of hospital management to ensure the highest standards of care in alignment with individual needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing leadership to a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively, while also exploring new business opportunities.
  • Participating in marketing efforts to promote the hospital to potential commissioners and referrers.
  • Leading organisational change initiatives to adapt to evolving business needs.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:Your duties will include:

  • Providing professional leadership and hands-on management support to staff, guiding their practices and behaviors.
  • Supervising senior management team members and clinicians to ensure operational excellence.
  • Setting and monitoring budgets, adhering to legal and contractual obligations.
  • Managing recruitment, induction, training, and performance evaluations for staff.
  • Participating in management group activities and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Developing and implementing business development plans to support hospital growth.
  • Representing at conferences and marketing events.
  • Overseeing on-call systems and ensuring the welfare of individuals in the care of the hospital.
  • Leading the assessment, support planning, and review processes for individuals receiving care.
  • Maintaining financial accounting systems and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

About You:The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, preferably with experience in managing clinical teams.
  • QCF (NVQ) level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality residential services.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial systems.
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours and fulfill travel requirements as necessary.
