Carrabawn Homecare Limited T/A Right at Home (Galway) is recruiting Home Carers to work with our clients in the following locations; 7 Mulvoy Park, Sean Mulvoy Road, Co. Galway H91 PDY0. Golf Links Road, Ballypheasan, Co. Roscommon F42 YX65. Other locations in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. We provide high-quality care to seniors and disabled adults within the comfort of their own homes, assisting them to enjoy continued independence in familiar surroundings. We are committed to the communities in which we work, and our services are tailored to suit each client’s needs and their local environment. As a Home Carer, you will enable our clients to remain living at home, by providing the support and care they need to help them achieve maximum independence. Your duties will include (but not be limited to); Assisting clients with both personal and practical care tasks e.g. dressing, washing, light household work, meal preparation, picking up prescriptions. Facilitating independence and social involvement i.e. accompanying clients on trips, shopping, banking, community activities. Providing companionship and ensuring clients’ dignity, privacy and independence is always maintained and respected. Reporting any medical issues or clients’ concerns to your Manager. Performing other duties as directed by management. You will be flexible in approach and may be assigned additional duties from time to time. Skills/Qualifications A relevant Healthcare or Social Care qualification, minimum QQI Level 5 (e.g. degree/certificate in nursing, midwifery, allied health, medical, etc.) Relevant experience in a care environment; Good communication, interpersonal, teamworking and time management skills.
