Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading Irish roofing contractor in the search for an experienced and highly motivated Health & Safety Manager to lead their safety function.This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading roofing specialist and play a key role in shaping and implementing a best-in-class safety strategy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction health and safety, preferably in the roofing sector, with a proven track record of driving safety excellence.Responsibilities for Health & Safety Manager (Hybrid):

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety policies in line with industry best practices and legislative requirements.
• Provide strategic leadership in health and safety, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Design and implement a structured health and safety strategy that enhances operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with ISO 45001 and Irish safety regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and site audits, identifying hazards and implementing proactive safety measures.
• Introduce innovative safety platforms to improve compliance, streamline processes, and enhance usability for site teams.
• Deliver training, toolbox talks, and leadership guidance to employees and subcontractors, embedding a strong safety culture.
• Investigate and manage all incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring detailed reporting and corrective actions.
• Work closely with senior management, project managers, and site teams to integrate safety considerations into all projects.
• Oversee safety documentation, including method statements, safety statements, and training records.
• Stay up to date with health and safety legislation and lead the retention of ISO 45001 certification and audits.

Requirements for Health & Safety Manager (Hybrid):

• 5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, preferably in roofing.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and compliance standards.
• Experience managing ISO 45001 certification and safety management systems.
• Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic health and safety plan.
• Experience implementing user-friendly health and safety platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills across all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
