ISM Recruitment is excited to partner with our client to recruit for the position of Health and Safety Compliance Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and progressive company where you’ll play a key role in driving Health and Safety excellence.Key Responsibilities:
” Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures.
” Conducting regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
” Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
” Delivering health and safety training and workshops to employees at all levels.
” Investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
” Maintaining up-to-date records and preparing compliance reports for management and stakeholders.
” Collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed a safety-first culture throughout the organisation.
” Liaising with external regulatory bodies and agencies as required.Candidate Requirements:
” NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
” A degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field – Preferred.
” Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH) – Desirable.
” A valid driver’s license is essential.
” Proven experience in a similar health and safety role, ideally within transport and warehousing.
” A strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
” Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
” Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.Salary and Benefits:
Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 D.O.E per annum
