Health & Safety Advisor.Salary circa €40k depending on experience plus car allowance, bonus, pension, private Medical Insurance and life Assurance.Our client is a recognised global leader working within the Logistics Industry.We seek an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to lead our organization’s HS initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accident investigation, health and safety management, strategy development, and staff consultation and collaboration. They will also be well-versed in new legislation and experienced in dealing with protocols specific to warehouse, engineering, and shopfitting environments with a primary focus on health and safety.Health & Safety AdvisorKey Responsibilities

  • Support and assist the Senior Leadership Team in all health and safety matters.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies and management systems, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
  • Lead the management of health and safety strategies, fostering a proactive approach to risk management and workplace safety.
  • Conduct thorough accident investigations, facilitate risk assessments, and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize health and safety risks.
  • Engage in consultation and collaboration with staff to integrate health and safety practices into daily operations.
  • Stay informed on new health and safety legislation and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Address the specific health and safety challenges within warehouse, engineering, and shopfitting environments.
  • Conduct health and safety audits, design and deliver health and safety training programs, and investigate incidents with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor health and safety performance metrics and liaise with external bodies and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain health and safety memberships and certifications, manage hazardous substances, and ensure environmental health and safety compliance.
  • Support effective communication of health and safety matters and develop continuous improvement plans.
  • Provide health and safety advice and support to all business areas.
  • Ensure emergency procedures are effectively implemented, communicated, and regularly practiced.
  • Provide administrative support for all health and safety requirements, including record management and staying up to date with industry best practices.

Health & Safety AdvisorRequirements:

  • 5 years’ experience in Health and Safety or similar compliance-based role – Essential.
  • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and GRAD IOSH Membership – Essential.
  • Excellent IT skills (inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be flexible and work in multiple locations- willing to travel.
  • Driving license essential due to the amount of travel involved in this role.
