We are more than just a training company, we provide the total solution to our customers streamlining their administration and developing their staff.About the RoleWorking within our Apprenticeship Delivery Team, you will be responsible for coaching and assessing learners, supporting them as they progress through the Adult Care Apprenticeship, using our own e-learning portfolio system, and regional travel as required. You will provide dedicated support to learners who may require additional assistance in their apprenticeship progress, aiding them in catching up and advancing by setting personalised learning plans, deadlines, and goals aligned with CareShield’s own standards and national RequirementsMain responsibilities and duties

  • Plan assessment visits with employers and candidates from enrolment to completion setting clear milestones for achievement.
  • To be responsible for the timely and effective assessment of candidates in the workplace, ensuring necessary planning and feedback is negotiated and recorded, to meet Awarding Body standards.
  • To deliver teaching and learning in a one-to-one and group situation, both face-to-face and using virtual classroom techniques.
  • To provide guidance to enable candidates in portfolio building and updating them and informing the relevant Manager if there are any problems.
  • To assist the candidate in mapping evidence for the competency and knowledge components ensuring advice on validity, authenticity and how their evidence can be integrated into functional skills.
  • To be responsible for monitoring and completing accurate documentation on the candidate/s progress through CareShield tracking systems (including on-line e-portfolio’s) and individual action/assessment plans.
  • To provide timely progression and achievement of candidates as well as discuss progression opportunities.
  • To carry out a review for each candidate in line with CareShield procedures and ensure completed units are signed off and submitted for internal verification on a monthly basis.

Essential skills/ qualification

  • Functional skills in Maths and English level 2 or equivalent
  • Attainment at Level 5 in adult health and social care
  • Either TAQA, A1, PTLLS qualification or equivalent assessors’ awards
  • Proven track record of ability to deliver apprenticeships
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • IT competent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and outside agencies.
