Monday-Friday Permanent PositionOptimize Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client, a leading civil engineering company, renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Dublin and surrounding areas. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, and operational excellence, our client has built a reputation for executing complex utility and construction projects while prioritizing employee well-being and compliance with industry regulations.Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments, ensuring a proactive approach to workplace safety.
  • Develop and deliver engaging health & safety training programs for employees.
  • Investigate incidents thoroughly, compiling accurate reports to drive continuous improvement.
  • Carry out routine site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain and update health & safety documentation, ensuring all records meet regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to promote a culture of safety and risk awareness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Level 8 qualification in Occupational Safety and Health Management (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of experience in a health & safety role, ideally within civil engineering or utilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in utilities is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and a full driving license are required.
  • Additional qualifications in Manual Handling or Abrasive Wheel training, as well as First Aid, would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills in English.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders, from site teams to senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint for training presentations.
  • Capable of conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings with clarity and confidence.
