Role: Health and Safety ManagerCompany:Leading food and nutrition cooperative with a wide-ranging portfolio of high-quality ingredients and products.Type: Permanent – On-siteLocation: Virginia, Cavan.About the role:You will be responsible for leading, directing, and overseeing all Health & Safety activities across the site. This role will focus on driving, developing, and advancing a positive Health and Safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, policies, and procedures.Role Responsibilities:Develop and Implement Health & Safety Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of the site’s health and safety strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives, driving compliance with regulatory requirements, and overseeing the investigation of incidents and the reporting of H&S metrics.Promote a Strong H&S Culture: Champion initiatives like the Zero Harm campaign and safety training programs to foster a proactive health and safety culture, conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews across the site.Ensure Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with relevant legislation, manage safety induction programs, and represent the company during external audits, while coordinating site-wide safety committees to continuously enhance health and safety practices.Requirements:Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, plus a recognised Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; Chartered IOSH membership is an advantage.Experience: At least 4 years as an H&S Manager in FMCG manufacturing, with expertise in ISO45001 health and safety systems and behavioural safety programs.Skills: Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication abilities, with experience delivering training across all organisational levels.For a confidential discussion, contact Brendan Rogers on 01 658 2167 or emailBy applying for this job you are indicating your permission for Azon to process your personal details in the manner described in our Privacy Policy.
