Head of Ocean FreightLocation: Dublin, Ireland | Reports to: Managing DirectorThe Head of Ocean Freight is responsible for driving strategic growth, overseeing operations, and managing procurement and capacity for all ocean freight services in Ireland. The role emphasizes financial performance, customer engagement, and team leadership, ensuring alignment with global standards and business objectives.Key Focus Areas:
This leadership role involves strategy development, team management, operational oversight, and fostering strong customer and supplier relationships. A key aspect is enhancing efficiency and profitability while ensuring compliance with international trade laws and environmental standards.

• Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement country-level ocean freight strategies to achieve financial and operational targets.
• Procurement & Pricing: Manage capacity, pricing, and procurement to enhance market competitiveness.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
• Operations Oversight: Ensure compliance with company policies, international trade laws, and environmental standards.
• Customer Engagement: Build key relationships and align with commercial teams to secure and grow high-value accounts.

Requirements:

• Strong leadership with proven experience in ocean freight and logistics.
• Expertise in strategy development, financial management, and operational optimization.
