First impressions count. To get our guests’ memorable experiences off to an unforgettable start, we’re looking for a Guest Service Agent who can make transactions feel seamless, offer thoughtful neighbourhood insights, and anticipate every request to make our guests feel right at home and ignite their curiosity.

We’re a tight knit team and love to upskill and build our team’s capabilities, so our Guest Service Agents also assist in hotel Reservations.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • A neighbourhood host – know what’s happening in the neighbourhood and the hotel; keeping up to date with events, activations and hotel information

  • Being the first point of contact for incoming hotel enquiries via phone and email

  • Acknowledging IHG One Rewards members and returning guests

  • Taking, managing, and receiving payments for guest bookings

  • Making the check-in and check-out process feel swift and seamless

  • Flexing your product knowledge of room categories, rates, packages and promotions to demonstrate value to our guests

  • Providing courteous and efficient handling of all incoming new room reservations, changes, cancellations and general information

  • Staying one step ahead of our guests’ needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored recommendations

  • Assisting guests with Porterage and Valet duties

  • Working closely with the Food & Beverage team taking on ad hoc duties as required

What we need from you:

  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk and/or reservations capacity

  • Communication skills – guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to

  • Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so our guests leave with great memories

  • Literate and tech-savvy – prior experience working with Opera PMS is advantageous

  • Flexibility – willing and able to work across all shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays

  • Compliant – valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (SA) and Safe Food Handling Certificate required

  • Full drivers licence and the confidence to drive and park cars

  • Must meet the legal requirement to work in Australia without limitations or restrictions
