The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart is located just steps from Hobart’s waterfront and the city’s top restaurants and attractions. The Tasman is a unique combination of Modern Contemporary, Art Deco and Heritage architecture. Presenting 152 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites with carefully restored features and adorned with exclusive art pieces from local artists, The Tasman reflects the true spirit of the destination.
The Role:
You will be collaborating with the Guest Experience Manager to create outstanding and unique guest experiences. The Guest Service department carries a responsibility to ensure a memorable first and last impression of the Hotel of the highest quality.
The Opportunity:
Acting as a Guest Experience Ambassador, you are to ensure the guests needs and requests are met, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction from check in to check out and everywhere in between.
Work efficiently to ensure all departments are maintaining and delivering a seamless yet professional guest experience in conjunction with the Front Desk and Guest Services teams
Be responsible for completing a wide variety of front office tasks, which will ensure that every day is different from selling the hotel’s facilities to taking reservations and maintaining guest accounts
What you will be doing:
Positively respond to all calls (both internal and external) and assist with guest enquiries, directing to the appropriate department
Assist with reservation enquiries via phone and email
Provide a high level of personalised service to clients and guests
Develop and maintain a strong hotel product knowledge
Operate switchboard effectively, handling all calls promptly and professionally
Perform a variety of administrative duties
Work closely with all hotel departments to ensure guest requests are completed efficiently
What we are looking for:
Previous Call Centre, Reservations or Reception experience
Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
An enthusiastic approach and positive guest-centric attitude
Attention to detail
Superior customer service skills
Opera, PABX systems experience is desired
Available to work on a seven-day rotating roster
