What’s the role?

News Corp has a new vacancy for an Executive Assistant to provide support

to the Editor – The Advertiser, Group Client Partner – Advertising Sales, and provide administrative support to the Product and Partnerships Team and Sales Team SA on a 12 month contract

  • Diary management, scheduling appointments, venue booking

  • Coordinating catering etc for meetings and functions

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and anticipating business needs

  • Undertake and manage projects and programs of work, creating agendas, taking minutes and following up on action points

  • Travel bookings and expense reconciliation

  • Coordinating the corporate box including bookings and invoice payments

  • Processing invoices and credit card statements

  • Receive telephone calls, delegate, action or escalate as appropriate

  • Order and maintain appropriate levels of stationery and beverages for the office

Who are you?

  • You are a commercially astute and highly organised individual with demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience in the media sector is preferred

  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills – both written and verbal

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making and shows strong initiative

  • Able to work to tight deadlines, juggle multiple priorities and thrive working in a busy and collaborative work environment

  • Solid administrative and computer skills, particularly across Google Suite, and MS Office Experience working within the media industry is desirable
