Job Title: Grant Officer
Location: Home-based
Contract duration: 12 months consultancy contract with the possibility of an extension

Position Description:
The Grant Officer will manage a variety of grant portfolios, working across different regions with a focus on compliance, financial monitoring, and the entire lifecycle of awards, from review and negotiation to close-out. This includes maintaining data integrity in systems such as Salesforce, Replicon, and Box. The role will also support the subrecipient process by coordinating agreements, ensuring due diligence, and monitoring sub-recipient compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support on grants and subawards compliance with government regulations, organizational policies, and sponsor requirements, focusing on multiple regions.
- Advise program staff and subgrantees on grant management procedures and compliance.
- Ensure post-award compliance, including reporting and audits, in line with applicable policies and directives.
- Review financials for grants and subawards, conducting monthly/quarterly analyses.
- Assist in the design and implementation of grant management systems and workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of sponsor approvals and grants management.
- Support financial inquiries and prepare for annual audit reviews.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years managing grants and/or contracts for international programs, with at least one year in compliance or finance.
- Experience working in international non-profit organizations or academic institutions in a multi-office, multi-national environment.
- Experience in grant close-out processes and maintaining compliance with sponsor requirements.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite is a plus.
- Proficient in drafting guidance documents and training materials.
Language Skills:
- Excellent spoken and written communication in English.
Other Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software applications, databases, and MS Office tools.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and the ability to build relationships.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
