Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Global Grant and Partnership Coordinator to join our team. The Global Grant and Partnership Coordinator will be responsible for enhancing the organization’s ability to secure and manage grants at the headquarter level. This includes researching grant opportunities, developing proposals, managing all active grant projects, and fostering partnerships. The position will report directly to the Head of Development External & Relations and collaborate closely with regional grant coordinators as super visional functions at headquarter. It also involves cooperating with grant management teams in each country office and the GN International Cooperation Office in Geneva.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with relevant experience in grant writing and global partnerships over 5 years, including experience with organizations including but not limited to UN agencies, USAID, and the EU. Experience working at the headquarters of an international NGO is highly desirable. Additionally, they will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities:

[Grants Opportunities Search]

• Conduct research on the latest trends and strategies of major donors for partnership development.

• Search for grant opportunities weekly and share them with country offices through internal groupware and newsletters via email.

[Proposal Development (Pre-Award)]

• Coordinate the grant-making process in collaboration with the regional grant coordinators and grant management teams in each country.

• Write, review, and edit grant proposals and supporting materials in English.

• Proofread grant proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance with funder guidelines.

• Assess partners’ risks from grant management and compliance perspectives and develop and roll out capacity-building actions in coordination with all concerned.

• Support capacity building for grant and partnership in country offices.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all grant-related inquiries at the headquarter level.

[Grants Management (Post-Award)]

• Follow up on the status of all submitted grant applications.

• Monitor and report on the progress of active grants in the global database.

• Stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in grant writing and management.

• Manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

• Identify and secure additional resources to supplement grant funding.

[Partnership Development]

• Develop and expand the partnership network with multilateral and bilateral agencies, as well as other international donors.

• Actively participate in partner mapping, including researching, identifying, and gathering detailed information about potential and existing partners.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration between the organization and its external partners.

• Plan and coordinate online and on-site events such as presentations, panels, and exhibitions at UN and global humanitarian conferences and meetings.

• Develop of grant-related policies, procedures, and systems at headquarters.

• Support to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to diversify funding sources.

• Participate in meetings and conferences related to grant management and fundraising.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in international relations, development studies, humanitarian assistance, political science, business administration, or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in grant management and partnership development in the humanitarian or development sector, including experience with UN or government agencies such as USAID, EU, or other similar agencies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in successful proposal writing and management of proposal development with a proven track record of securing bilateral and multilateral grants in Non-profit sector.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Thorough understanding of effective grant writing techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication and management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work on projects to develop ideas or solutions to complex problems that go beyond established practices.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to coordinate cross functional teams and multicultural colleagues.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to conduct field visits for grant writing, and capacity building workshops
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
  • Being proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs is a plus.

Desired:

  • Expert knowledge of the application procedures and regulations for bilateral and multilateral grants.
  • Strong writing skills for writing grants.
  • Work experience with global partnerships such as USAID, EU, or other similar agencies.
  • Experience working at the headquater of International NGO is highly desirable.
