Working with a range of clients in the public and private sectors, this role is an exciting new opportunity for a Geospatial Consultant to support the delivery of multiple Digital technology projects.Desirable Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience working with enterprise GIS solutions (ArcGIS Enterprise or open-source solutions)
  • Experience with web-based GIS (e.g. ArcGIS Online, HTML, CSS, Leaflet, PostGIS)
  • Cartographic or 3D visualization experience
  • Experience in the field of Remote Sensing or Earth Observation
  • Experience and interest in applying spatial solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Proven ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment
  • Past history of technical presentations and technical writing

Essential Experience and Knowledge

  • Experienced in using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online & QGIS to create Geospatial data solutions and conduct spatial analysis.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing Geospatial data solutions on projects that use web-based geospatial technologies and integrate multiple large geospatial datasets.
  • Experience using spatial ETL applications, specifically FME, for data conversions.
  • Knowledge of or experience implementing Geospatial data management standards.
  • Knowledge of open spatial datasets.
  • Advanced numeracy and analytical skills for data manipulation and management.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas to a non-technical audience.

Your Education/Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience providing geospatial solutions
  • Expertise in desktop GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience of data management and interoperability standard processes in the built environment (e.g. FME, ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, CAD/BIM packages)
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
  • Must be eager to learn, highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
