Hartley People Recruitment are seeking a motivated General Operative to join our client’s team. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor and Workshop Manager, this role involves assisting in the workshop and yard while ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.Responsibilities

• Connect and disconnect tanks for heating.
• Collect and distribute HGV parts and materials.
• Shunt trailers to the Test Centre.
• Operate the container reach stacker/handler.
• Manage inventory and verify tanks/products accurately.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free yard to ensure a safe working environment.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• General housekeeping of the site.
• Perform ad hoc duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a General Operative or similar role.
• Full, clean driver’s license (CE license and Reach Stacker license are advantageous but not essential; full training provided).
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
• Diligence and a strong focus on health and safety.
